Dear friends, I would like to introduce you to my latest member of my Sheaffer's family, a sober but elegant 1936 Balance 500 in black resin.
It is clear that its former owners made good use of it, since it only required a small restoration. The imprints, gilding and surface were in perfect condition, with no noticeable deformations in its structure, and its open nib, a timeless and beautiful gold FeatherTouch with a platinum mask continues to defy time with perfect writing. It only required a new ink bag, a cleaning and polishing of the surface and metals, and in this case, a restoration of the ink window in the grip that was translucent and stained by wear.
I used the same dyeing method here as in my Conklin Glider, and I dare say with better results... !!!

Cari amici, vorrei presentarvi il mio ultimo membro della mia famiglia Sheaffer, una Balance 500 del 1936 sobria ma elegante in resina nera.
È chiaro che i suoi precedenti proprietari ne fecero buon uso, poiché necessitava solo di un piccolo restauro. Le impronte, la doratura e la superficie erano in perfette condizioni, senza evidenti deformazioni nella sua struttura, e il suo pennino aperto, un intramontabile e bellissimo FeatherTouch in oro con una maschera di platino continua a sfidare il tempo con una scrittura perfetta. Richiedeva solo una nuova sacca di inchiostro, una pulizia e lucidatura della superficie e dei metalli e, in questo caso, un ripristino della finestra dell'inchiostro nell'impugnatura che era traslucida e macchiata dall'usura.
Ho usato qui lo stesso metodo di tintura della mia Conklin Glider, e oserei dire con risultati migliori...!!!
